At MASPRO, we do not just make parts; we engineer solutions that keep hard rock mining moving. We are proudly Australian owned, designing and manufacturing high-performance drill components that outlast and outperform industry standards. We thrive on grit, passion and humility, embracing challenges with a solutions-focused mindset. Innovation drives us, collaboration fuels us, and our commitment to quality sets us apart.
As we continue to grow MASPRO is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead safe, reliable, high-quality and cost-effective manufacturing.
This newly created role is broader than day-to-day production management. Reporting to the Director of Operations and contributing as part of MASPRO’s leadership team, you will take ownership of manufacturing, lead through department managers and become the clear point of accountability for performance and operational issues across both sites.
Your early mandate will be to align departments around shared priorities, establish M1 as the reliable source of truth and create clear visibility of production, inventory, capacity, labour and overtime. Just as importantly, you will earn the confidence of experienced managers and teams, bringing them with you as expectations, systems and ways of working evolve.
We are looking for a Sydney, NSW based manufacturing leader who is comfortable travelling regularly, primarily based at Wetherill Park, Sydney with regular travel to Condobolin, NSW, being visible where the work happens. You will bring technical credibility and commercial judgement: someone humble enough to listen, confident enough to challenge constructively, and trusted to advise leaders and teams through change.
This is also a genuine long-term succession opportunity. For a high-performing leader who earns trust and grows with MASPRO, there is potential over time to step into broader operational leadership.
Key accountabilities:
- Take end-to-end ownership of manufacturing performance.
- Align department managers and teams around one plan, clear priorities and shared accountability for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Establish M1 as the single source of truth, strengthening scheduling, job data, routings and operational reporting while removing off-system workarounds.
- Create reliable visibility of capacity, resources and performance by department, including clear operational metrics and forecasts.
- Align lot sizes and production activity with demand forecasts and inventory requirements, ensuring the right products are made at the right time.
- Bring discipline to workforce planning and overtime, ensuring additional labour is supported by clear capacity and customer requirements.
- Own manufacturing issues and coordinate timely responses to component, process, quality and equipment failures.
- Lead and develop department managers, strengthen succession and build capability so performance is not dependent on key individuals.
- Drive practical productivity improvement, equipment reliability and, over time, consistent operating standards across both sites.
- Partner across Sales, Inventory, Procurement, Engineering, Finance and People & Culture to support customer and commercial outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
- Significant manufacturing leadership experience gained in a similar environment – heavy equipment, engineering, mining supply, rail, automotive or another disciplined manufacturing environment.
- Proven success leading multiple departments, experienced managers and sizeable operational teams; multi-site experience is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, quality, systems discipline, cost performance and workforce capability.
- Strong operational and commercial judgement across production planning, capacity, inventory, labour, overtime, maintenance and cost.
- Essential experience using a manufacturing ERP to manage scheduling, production, routings, job data and reporting; M1 is highly regarded.
- A relevant trade, engineering, manufacturing or operations qualification, or substantial equivalent experience.
- A current unrestricted driver’s licence, Australian work authorisation and the flexibility to travel regularly between Wetherill Park, Sydney and Condobolin, NSW.
This is a full-time permanent position based at Wetherill Park, Sydney. During the first six months, you should expect to spend approximately one full week each month in Condobolin, NSW potentially more while you build relationships and operational understanding. The travel cadence is expected to reduce once strong systems and rhythms are established, although ongoing flexibility will remain important.
What’s in it for you?
At MASPRO, we back our people with trust, support and opportunity. Because when you thrive, so do we.
- Step into a newly created role with genuine ownership and the mandate to shape how manufacturing operates.
- Work directly with the Director of Operations and senior leaders, creating the visibility and capability needed for MASPRO’s next stage of growth.
- Join an Australian-owned business where decisions can be made quickly and practical ideas are valued.
- Build your career as the business grows, with credible long-term succession potential into broader operational leadership.
- Work on high-performance products helping shape the future of hard rock mining.
- Access training, upskilling and professional development.
- Enjoy birthday leave, an Employee Assistance Program and free onsite parking.
Shape the future of manufacturing with us
When you join MASPRO, you become part of a team that takes ownership, drives innovation and never stops improving. If you are ready to lead with humility, build trusted relationships and create the manufacturing capability required for our next stage of growth, we would welcome your application.

MASPRO | Australia | Flexible Location – NSW / WA considered.
Lead. Transform. Build what’s next.
Build a high-performing engineering culture in a growing Australian business
MASPRO is entering a pivotal phase of growth and we are seeking a Director of Engineering to shape, lead and elevate our engineering function at a critical moment in our evolution.
This is not a traditional engineering leadership role. It is an opportunity to step in, take ownership and build a high-performing, future-focused engineering capability that directly influences our products, our customers and our market position.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to lead the next phase of MASPRO‘s engineering evolution. We are seeking a proven leader who can build on strong technical foundations and shape a more scalable, high-performing engineering function aligned to our growth ambitions.
You will lead people and lead change – strengthening leadership capability, creating clear accountability, improving prioritisation and embedding the systems, rhythms and discipline required for consistent delivery.
At the same time, you will play a central role in lifting new product development capability, ensuring engineering effort is focused on commercially valuable innovation and customer outcomes.
Working closely with Sales, Operations and the Executive team, you will connect customer needs, product strategy and engineering execution – helping MASPRO grow with discipline, speed and impact.
What you will lead
- A capable engineering team through its next phase of growth and maturity
- Clear priorities, accountability and execution discipline
- A stronger new product development engine
- Better alignment between customer demand and engineering effort
- Scalable systems, governance and leadership capability
- Future engineering structure, talent and succession
Who you are
You are a proven leader who knows how to build capable teams, lift standards and create momentum. You bring the judgement, presence and credibility to lead experienced technical people while driving meaningful change.
You have successfully led engineering or technical functions through growth, increased complexity or performance uplift. You know how to introduce structure, accountability and clearer ways of working without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
You combine strong commercial instincts with technical credibility, translating customer needs into practical engineering priorities and outcomes.
You are collaborative, direct and outcomes-focused. You can challenge constructively, make decisions when needed, and bring people with you through change.
You may come from mining, manufacturing, rail, agriculture, defence, automotive or another industrial product environment where quality, reliability and delivery matter.
Relevant engineering qualifications are valued, but your leadership impact and ability to elevate a function will matter most.
Why MASPRO
MASPRO is a proudly Australian, privately owned business with strong foundations, a respected market reputation and clear growth ambition. We design, engineer and manufacture high-performance solutions for the mining industry, where reliability, speed and quality matter.
This is an opportunity to join at a meaningful point in our journey – where the business is successful, growing and ready for its next phase of capability and scale.
You will have the chance to shape a function, influence decisions directly and see the impact of your leadership without layers of unnecessary bureaucracy.
You’ll work alongside hands-on leaders who value initiative, ownership and people who make things happen.
For the right person, this is a chance to step into a role where you can build something significant, lead real change and leave a visible mark on the future of the business.
Location & Package
Flexible location considered, with preference for candidates able to maintain a strong presence across key MASPRO operations in New South Wales. Western Australia may also be considered for the right candidate.
Regular travel will be required to engage with sites, leaders, customers and engineering priorities across the business.
A competitive executive package will be tailored to the experience, capability and impact the successful candidate brings.
This is a role for someone motivated by influence, challenge and the opportunity to build long-term value – not just title alone
Expression of Interest
This is a targeted search, and we are engaging directly with the market.
